February continues dry conditions at Poipu compared to Kauai's north shore. The south shore benefits from Kauai's interior mountains blocking most wet-season rain. Occasional showers clear quickly.
Poipu's protected beach park provides calm conditions for most of the year. The natural rock formations create sheltered wading areas perfect for families. Water temperature is 75-80°F. Monk seals often rest on the sand.
