The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai sits on the Big Island's Kohala Coast — one of the driest and cleanest coastal environments in Hawaii. The resort fronts Kukiʻo Beach, a calm cove with open ocean exposure, no stream inputs, and minimal surrounding development beyond the luxury resort corridor.
The Kohala Coast receives less than 10 inches of rain per year. With no rivers or streams discharging near the resort, and the well-maintained resort infrastructure, water quality here is consistently excellent. This is one of the best swimming environments in all of Hawaii.
